Pete Dye Golf Course opens in Guatemala

A world-class 18-hole golf course just opened in Guatemala. The golf course was designed by legendary Pete Dye and is his first design in Central America. The golf course is the mainpiece of an upscale community called La Reunion. The course is at the base of the Fuego Volcano (Fire) and is called Fuego Maya (Mayan Fire). There are impressive views of Fire from the golf course as well as three other volcanoes and the Pacific ocean. The area was formerly a coffee plantation.
